The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme offers financial support to assist with your studies at UQ.
If you’re an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander student and you are experiencing financial hardship, please apply.
You only need to submit ONE application to be considered for ALL available scholarships in the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme, the Aspire Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
Key Dates and offer rounds for Semester 1, 2026
UQ has two offer rounds for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship Scheme. You can apply at any time, but applying early gives you access to be considered for more scholarships. Your application will be assessed in the next available round.
Main offer round - offers made late-February 2026
- Apply between 9 September 2025 and 23 January 2026.
- This round includes all available scholarships. Most students apply in this round to maximise their chances.
Second offer round - offers made mid-March 2026
- Apply between 24 January and 27 February 2026.
- Limited scholarships are available in this round.
