Eligibility
You're eligible if:
- you can demonstrate financial hardship;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
- you are enrolled in any coursework program at The University of Queensland.

Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, tax statements, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- academic achievements
- community service/leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

- any other scholarship, bursary, award or benefit you're entitled to; and

About this scholarship
This scholarship was founded in 1995 by a bequest under the will of Maisie Elizabeth Handy in memory of her late husband E.O.H. Handy.
