Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- you can demonstrate financial hardship;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
- you are enrolled in any undergraduate program in the semester of the award.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status;
- academic achievement; and
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship;
- personal qualities, including leadership potential;
- academic ability; and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Preference will be given to students who are (in order of preference):
- from Quandamooka country and studying health sciences, commerce, economics, science or law
- studying health sciences, commerce, economics, science or law.
