Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person
- can demonstrate financial need
- are enrolled in any coursework program in the semester of the award.

Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, tax statements, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- academic and community service/leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial need
- personal qualities including leadership potential
- academic achievement
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Preference may be given to applicants who:
- identify with one of the following Traditional Owner groups:
- Barada Barna, Barunggam, Bigambul, Birri, Cobble Cobble, Emon/Iman, Jangga, Jarowair/Yarowair, Kambuwal, Mandandanji, Northern Gomeroi/Gomeroi, Wiri, Wakka Wakka/Western Wakka, Yetimarala
- are studying in a Relevant field:
- Petroleum, Chemical, Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Ecology, or Mathematics, ICT, Law, Business, Finance, Supply Chain
- can demonstrate strength of personal attributes including community involvement, career aspirations, interests, drive, ability to overcome adversity in a personal statement of up to 500 words.
