Eligibility
You're eligible if:
- you can demonstrate financial hardship;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person; and
- you are enrolled in a coursework program administered by the Faculty of Science.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- academic achievement
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship
- personal qualities, including leadership potential;
- academic ability; and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Preference will be given to awarding one scholarship to an undergraduate and the other to a postgraduate coursework student. If there are no eligible postgraduate applicants, both can be awarded to undergraduate applicants.
