Eligibility
You're eligible if:
- you can demonstrate financial need;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
- you are enrolled in an engineering program.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- academic achievements
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship;
- personal qualities, including leadership potential;
- academic ability; and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Where all other considerations are equal, preference will be given to the applicant who demonstrates academic achievement

The Scholarship was established in 2022 and maintained by an annual gift from Webuild, a global construction company. The scholarship supports Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students studying Engineering.
