UQ Residential Scholarship Scheme

The UQ Residential Scholarship scheme offers financial support to help cover accommodation costs at a UQ approved provider.

If you are or will be residing at a UQ approved accommodation provider and you are experiencing financial hardship, please apply. 

You only need to submit ONE application to be considered for ALL available scholarships in the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme, the Aspire Scholarship scheme and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme. 

Key Dates and offer rounds for Semester 1, 2026

UQ has three offer rounds for the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme. You can apply at any time, but applying early gives you access to be considered for more scholarships. Your application will be assessed in the next available round. 

Main offer round - offers made early December 2025
  • Apply between 9 September 2025 and 3 November 2025.
  • This round includes all available scholarships. Most students apply in this round to maximise their chances.
Second offer round - offers made late January 2026
  • Apply between 4 November 2025 and 9 January 2026.
  • Limited scholarships are available in this round.
Final offer round - offers made early March 2026
  • Apply between 10 January and 27 February 2026.
  • Very limited scholarships are available in this round.
