This scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme. You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in this scheme.
Eligibility
You're eligible if:
- you are a domestic student in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy;
- you are enrolled full-time in an Approved Program;
- you are a resident at an Approved Accommodation Provider;
- you are a Commencing Student;
- you are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area in Queensland which is more than 200km from Brisbane; and
- you can demonstrate financial hardship by providing documentary evidence.

You'll need your:
- QTAC reference number.
- evidence of financial hardship such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income etc.
- regional/rural/remote residency

Selection criteria
Preference will be given to applicants who (in order of preference) –
- are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area classified as MM7;
- are from a Regional, Rural or Remote Area classified as MM6;
- have demonstrated other forms of educational disadvantage in their QTAC application.

About this scholarship
In 2019 the Flannery Foundation, under the Create Change Scholarship Match, established an endowment that supports undergraduate scholarships for students from Queensland Regional, Rural or Remote areas beyond a 200km radius of Brisbane who are facing financial hardship.
