The scholarship is open to HDR candidates in the field of medicine, law, commerce, economics or architecture.

This PhD travel scholarship was established in 2012 and is maintained by donations and a bequest from Dr Joan Allsop

The scholarship was established in 1949 and is maintained by a donation from the Trustees of the Walter and
Eliza Hall Trust. The purpose of the scholarship is to support a Higher Degree by Research candidate in
undertaking research travel overseas.

Recognises the merit of a student studying History and enables them to travel with a preference given for fieldwork, research projects and experiences that endeavour to understand Australia’s place and position in the Asia Pacific Region and students with financial hardship.

Prize for the student who submits the best essay written on an object or collection of material housed in the RD Milns Antiquities Museum.

Supports undergraduate and honours students in the discipline of Classics and Ancient History.

Advance collaborative industry-engaged research to design resilient infrastructure for water, energy and housing.

Provides an opportunity for Year 3 medical students to be awarded a prize in pharmacology and therapeutics.

Supports a student in the Bachelor of Communication program in the field of public relations.

Supports UQ undergraduate students who want to pursue a career in horticulture and to develop horticulture industry skills in far north Queensland.
