Established by donations from Marie and Alf Berry in memory of their granddaughter Helen Kay, a postgraduate research student who died in 1999 while completing her degree, the scholarship commemorates the work of a promising young scholar of Australian literature, life writing and the environment.

Supports undergraduate Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students in HASS who are experiencing financial hardship.

Support for undergraduate students experiencing financial hardship to study English Literature at UQ.

Recognises the merit of a student studying History and enables them to travel with a preference given for fieldwork, research projects and experiences that endeavour to understand Australia’s place and position in the Asia Pacific Region and students with financial hardship.

Rewards research excellence in archaeology by facilitating postgraduate student participation in the global archaeological research community.

Provides financial support for HASS students to participate in unique international travel opportunities that enhance their employability.

Supports undergraduate students experiencing financial hardship undertaking studies in the humanities.

Supports a university student undertaking an undergraduate degree in Education at UQ.
