Financial support for outstanding graduates early in their careers so they can be trained to conduct health and medical research that is internationally competitive.

The Scholarship is open to Higher Degree by Research candidates who have undertaken prior studies at Wenzhou Medical University, China to undertake doctoral studies at the University of Queensland. There is a preference, though not a requirement, that the Scholarship benefits recipients working under the direction of a supervisor at The Frazer Institute.

The scholarship is open to PhD candidates undertaking research directed towards the development of therapies for renal disease, repair and regeneration, preferably focussing on therapies applicable to the form of chronic renal failure termed polycystic kidney disease.
