Financial award in recognition of the time commitment required to undertake a placement during an HDR candidature.

This Scholarship is open to HDR students undertaking research in the field of surgery. Applicants must be
graduates of a Doctor of Medicine Program from a University in the state of Queensland who have completed at
least 2 years’ practice after graduation.

Provides support for students undertaking study or research that will benefit Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children in Australia. Examples of beneficial subject areas are Indigenous Australian health, education, housing, community planning and design, and quality of lifestyle.

Established by donations from Marie and Alf Berry in memory of their granddaughter Helen Kay, a postgraduate research student who died in 1999 while completing her degree, the scholarship commemorates the work of a promising young scholar of Australian literature, life writing and the environment.
