Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are a female student
- are a domestic student
- can demonstrate educational disadvantage as a result of financial, geographical, cultural or other personal circumstances
And you're intending to enrol as a full-time student in one of the below programs in 2022:
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) and Master of Engineering
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- the Bachelor of Science (Computer Science)
- a dual program including one of these programs.
How to apply
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS- The next available opportunity will be for Semester 1 2027, with applications opening July 2026.

You'll need to prepare:
- a cover letter
- your resume
- responses to 2 provided questions
- a copy of your reports from Year 11, Semester 2 and Year 12, Semester 1 or, if you are a current student, your most recent studies report, and
- a 1-minute video in response to a provided question.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship
- academic achievements
- leadership potential, community service and/or engagement
- alignment with the graduate attributes of the Liveris Academy
- willingness to participate and contribute to co-curricular activities at UQ and through the Liveris Academy
- any other matter the selection committee considers relevant for your future academic success.
Preference may be given to students studying IT.
What happens next

About this scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2021 under the Dow Chemical Challenge and is maintained by a gift from John and Gerri Puttick to encourage and support outstanding students in an Approved Program at UQ, through financial support and Membership with the Liveris Academy.
