Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- are enrolled, or intend to enrol, as a full-time student in the first year of an undergraduate STEM program
- achieve a minimum Australian Tertiary Admission Rank of 99.00 (or equivalent); or
- have a minimum GPA of 5.8 (or equivalent);
- does not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar; and
- can demonstrate educational disadvantage as a result of financial, geographical, cultural or other personal circumstances.
How to apply
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS- The next available opportunity will be for Semester 1 2029, with applications opening July 2028.

You'll need to prepare:
- a cover letter
- your resume
- responses to 2 provided questions
- a copy of your reports from Year 11, Semester 2 and Year 12, Semester 1 or, if you are a current student, your most recent studies report, and
- a 1-minute video in response to a provided question.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- documented evidence of educational disadvantage as a result of financial, geographical, cultural or other personal circumstances
- academic achievements in secondary school
- leadership potential, community service and/or engagement
- alignment with the graduate attributes of the Liveris Academy
- willingness to participate and contribute to co-curricular activities at UQ and through the Liveris Academy
- any other matter the selection committee considers relevant for your future academic success.

About this scholarship
The Scholarship was established in 2021 by The Dow Chemical Company and maintained by the income generated from an endowed gift to encourage and support outstanding students in an Approved Program at UQ, through financial support and Membership with the Liveris Academy.
