Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- are enrolled, or intend to enrol, as a full-time student in the first year of an undergraduate STEM program
- does not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar; and
- can demonstrate educational disadvantage as a result of financial, geographical, cultural or other personal circumstances.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal. You can save your progress and resume your application at any time.
You'll need:
- a cover letter
- a resume
- a copy of your recent Year 12 report
- demonstrated financial hardship (eg. Centrelink Statements, ATO Notice, family income, etc.)
You'll also be asked to respond to a few short answer questions to demonstrate how you meet the selection criteria for this scholarship.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- documented evidence of educational disadvantage as a result of financial, geographical, cultural or other personal circumstances
- academic achievements in secondary school
- leadership potential, community service and/or engagement
- alignment with the graduate attributes of the Liveris Academy
- willingness to participate and contribute to co-curricular activities at UQ and through the Liveris Academy
- any other matter the selection committee considers relevant for your future academic success.
What happens next

If you’re considered eligible, we’ll forward your application to a selection panel to review. If you’re successful, we'll notify you in writing.
About this scholarship
The Scholarship was established in 2021 by The Dow Chemical Company and maintained by the income generated from an endowed gift to encourage and support outstanding students in an Approved Program at UQ, through financial support and Membership with the Liveris Academy.
