Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are a domestic student
  • are enrolled full-time in
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master of Engineering or
    • dual engineering program
  • have completed at least 12 units, but not more than 27 units in your program
  • don't hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

Preference may be given to students in the chemical, electrical, mechanical or mechatronic engineering disciplines.

  • a copy of your studies report from mySI-net.

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

  • academic achievement
  • understanding of, and alignment with, ConocoPhillips’ SPIRIT values
  • strength of interest in pursuing a career in the energy industry, particularly the chemical engineering, electrical, mechanical or mechatronic engineering professions
  • personal qualities, including leadership potential
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success in the engineering profession.

About this scholarship

The Scholarship was established in 2016 by an annual gift by ConocoPhillips Australia Operations Pty Ltd previously ConocoPhillips Australia Pty Ltd.

ConocoPhillips may also offer:

  • career mentoring
  • ambassadorial roles
  • vacation employment at any ConocoPhillips site for any period during which the recipient holds the Scholarship, determined by ConocoPhillips in consultation with the recipient.
