Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- have completed your first undergraduate degree within the last 5 years, or will complete by 31 December 2026
- have achieved or are on track to achieve an average result of H1 or H2A equivalent or approx 75 WAM
- have demonstrated academic excellence
- are intending to undertake a full-time Masters by Coursework or Research or a PhD at UQ
- commence study by 31 July 2027 (current postgraduate students are not eligible).

Your application will be assessed on:
- your passion about strengthening Australia's ties with Asia, driving technology and innovation or enabling positive social change
- a bold vision to contribute to the growth and prosperity of Australia who can articulate this vision and how postgraduate study will help make it real
- a desire and potential to lead
- a keenness to be inspired by others, build networks and collaborate across diverse disciplines
- confidence in taking on challenges
- a desire to be part of and contribute to the Westpac 100 Scholars Network.

About this scholarship
The Westpac Future Leaders Scholarship supports outstanding postgraduate coursework and research students passionate to make a difference in Australia.
The program is designed to foster leadership potential and offers opportunities to gain global experience and life-long access to the W100 Scholars Network. Up to 17 scholarships valued up to $120,000 each are awarded every year to individuals from all backgrounds who are starting postgraduate study at one of our nine partner universities.
