Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- identify as a member of the LGBTQIA+ communities
- can demonstrate commitment to the LGBTQIA+ communities
- can demonstrate financial hardship
- are enrolled or have accepted an offer to enrol as a full-time student in a program at The University of Queensland at the time you apply
- have not previously received the bursary.

Complete the application form and email to scholarships@uq.edu.au
You will also need to include supporting documentation that demonstrates your eligibility, such as:
- references to support commitment to LGBTQIA+ communities
- most recent Centrelink Allowance Statement (Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY etc)
- Australian Taxation Office Assessment Notice, for the previous financial year, and/or evidence of income from other sources
- current academic transcript/studies report, secondary studies results
- any other evidence you feel supports your application.

We'll consider:
- evidence of identifying as a member of the LGBTQIA+ communities
- academic achievement
- demonstrated financial hardship
- demonstrated commitment to the LGBTQIA+ communities
- any other matter that the selection committee considers relevant.
About this scholarship
This scholarship was established in 2013 and maintained by gifts from donors including UQ staff, alumni and friends.
