Eligibility
You are eligible if you're:
- a domestic applicant
- assessed by the Graduate School as meeting all conditions for admission to the higher degree by research program.
How to apply
Before submitting an application you should:
- check your eligibility for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or a Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
- contact a researcher with relevant expertise and get their agreement to support your project.
- prepare your documentation
You apply for this scholarship when you submit an application for a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). You don't need to submit a separate scholarship application.

Application dates
The academic year for research students is divided into 4 research quarters (RQ). You can apply at any time and in any research quarter, but you should apply at least 12 weeks before your preferred commencement research quarter. We will consider you for this scholarship at the point of admission.
