Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- need to improve your language skills and you don’t have an IELTS below 5.0 in any of your bands;
- at the time of application for the Scholarship, have applied for a Program with the University;
- are an international student in accordance with the University’s Fee Policy; and
- are a student from the following cohort, to align with the purpose of the scholarship –
- (a) UQ Refugee and Humanitarian Scholarship
- (b) UQ Asha Scholarship recipient (India equity)
- (c) Latin American sponsorship bodies with a UQ agreement
How to apply
You don't need to apply for this scholarship.
When you apply to study a program at UQ, you're automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria.
What happens next
If you are eligible, we will notify you that you're offered this scholarship together with your letter of offer to study at UQ. In this notification, we will let you know what date you have to accept the scholarship by. If you're awarded the scholarship, the tuition fee reduction will be applied prior to the tuition fees due date each semester.
