This scholarship is part of the UQ Residential Scholarships Scheme. You only need to submit one application to be considered for all scholarships in this scheme.

Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are a domestic student
  • can demonstrate financial need
  • are enrolled full-time, second year in an approved undergraduate engineering program
  • are a resident of St John’s College
  • don't hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean considers to be similar.

How to apply

Apply using the online application portal.

You'll need to provide information that demonstrates your:

  • academic achievements in an undergraduate engineering program to date
  • personal qualities, including leadership potential, community service and engagement
  • evidence of financial hardship such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income etc.

Selection criteria

The scholarship will be awarded based on:

  • academic achievement
  • personal qualities, including leadership potential, community service and engagement
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success in the engineering profession.

About this scholarship

This Scholarship was established in 2012 by an endowed gift from alumni Mr Keith Bennett, BE 1966 and Annette Bennett.
