Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are a domestic student from rural/remote Australia (RA2-5)
  • can demonstrate financial hardship
  • are enrolled or intend to enrol full-time as a Commencing Student in the first year of an Approved Program:
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering
    • engineering dual
  • strength of interest in Electrical Engineering
  • do not hold a similar scholarship.

You'll need:

  • a cover letter
  • a resume
  • Year 12 report
  • ATAR Advice Notice
  • evidence of financial hardship (Centrelink statement, ATO notice, etc.)

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

  • academic achievement
  • your financial circumstances
  • your strength of interest in electrical engineering
  • personal qualities including leadership potential, community service and engagement
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers relevant to your future success in the profession.

About this scholarship

This Scholarship was established in 2021 by the Tyree Foundation in memory of Sir William Tyree, founder of the Tyree Group and a leading Australian industrialist.
