Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and are accepted as such by your community 
  • enrolled full-time in an undergraduate or postgraduate program in the School of Business or School of Economics.                                       

How to apply

Apply using the online application form. The form will take at least 20 minutes to complete. You can save your application and resume your progress at any time. You can also apply for other Business and Economics scholarships with the same form. 

You'll need:

  • a statement, of no more than 1000 words, responding to the following:
    • the impact this scholarship will have on you personally and professionally
    • what your future career aspirations are
    • details of any leadership and/or community service experiences that are relevant to your application
  • documentation to show your financial need
  • proof of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status.

You can also share any documents that you think will help your application, such as references or awards.

You can only upload one file per field. If you have multiple files, combine them in a single zip file.

Save your file using the naming format: Lastname-Firstname-Document type (e.g. SmithSam-supporting-evidence.zip).

  • academic achievement 
  • financial need
  • personal qualities, including leadership potential.

What happens next

We'll send you an email to let you know we've received your application. 

The selection committee will meet soon after the closing date. If you're shortlisted, we may contact you to arrange an interview.

This scholarship was established in 2019 by Mr and Mrs Edwinsmith and maintained by annual donation.
