Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- received, in the year of the award, either:
- the TC Beirne School of Law Scholarship or
- the Leadership, Excellence and Diversity (Lead) Scholarship or
- the UQLA Endowment Fund Scholarship
- are enrolled full time in the first year of an Approved Program
- have completed 4 units of LAWS courses in your first semester of the Approved Program

Selection criteria
The Award will go to the student who received the highest marks for 4 units of LAWS courses in their4 first semester of the Approved Program.
About this scholarship
Established in 1960 by a legacy of $4,000 given by Miss E. S. D. Ruthning, representing $2,000 from her estate and $2,000 from the estate of her sister Miss V. E. M. Ruthning, in memory of their father H. L. E. Ruthning, a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland.
