Eligibility

You’re eligible if you:

  • are enrolled full-time in the following programs:
    • Bachelor of Veterinary Science (Honours)
    • Master of Veterinary Science
    • a Higher Degree Research project based on veterinary science owned by the School of Veterinary Science at UQ
  • can demonstrate financial need.

  • proof of your academic achievements in the program to date

Selection criteria

We’ll consider:

  • your personal statement addressing the academic benefit of the bursary support
  • evidence of disadvantage which includes, but is not limited to:
    • financial need or hardship
    • being from a rural or regional area
    • being the first in your family to attend university
    • having a medical condition or disability or being the primary carer for a family member with a medical condition or disability.

About this scholarship

This scholarship was established in 2018 by a bequest from Edna Dorothy Griffiths, to assist students from a disadvantaged background studying veterinary science at The University of Queensland.
