Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are verified as an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
  • have successfully completed at least one year of a program at a participating institution;
  • are enrolled on a full-time basis for a subsequent year of that program or a further program at that or another participating institution.

How to apply

Currently not open for applications.

You will also need to include supporting documentation that demonstrates your eligibility, such as:

  • evidence of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status;
  • most recent Centrelink Allowance Statements (Youth Allowance, ABSTUDY etc);
  • Australian Taxation Office Assessment Notice, for the previous financial year, and evidence of income from other sources;
  • your current academic transcript/studies report;
  • any other evidence you feel supports your application.

We'll consider:

  • academic achievement;
  • any other scholarship, bursary, award or benefit, whether governmental or otherwise, to which you are entitled;
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success.

This Scholarship was established in 1987 and is maintained by gifts from Mr Robert Noel Hammon.
