Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

are enrolled full-time in an approved program (see list below)
have completed at least 14 units but no more than 34 in an approved program
do not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean Engineering or Associate Dean Science considers to be similar.

Approved Program:

Bachelor of Information Technology or associated dual program
Bachelor of Computer Science or associated dual program
Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master in Engineering or associated dual program in:
- Mechatronic Engineering; or
- Software Engineering.
Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) or associated dual programs with a major in Computer Science or Mathematics
Bachelor of Mathematics or associated dual programs.

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

demonstrated financial hardship
personal and leadership qualities
potential to succeed in the engineering, computer and/or science profession
any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant.

Preference may be given to applicants who:

participated in Leaders@EAIT
are past recipients of a Rio Tinto Scholarship
are past participants in a Rio Tinto Internship.
