About this scholarship

Established in 2024 and maintained by an annual gift from Mineral Technologies Pty Ltd to honour the memory of former colleague and Mechanical Engineer, Mr Mick Hagarty, and his commitment to mentoring and developing early career engineers. As an employer and regionally based company, the donor wishes to invest in the education of mechanical engineering students from rural and remote areas, acknowledging the unique challenges these students often navigate during their studies and the importance of ensuring students from regional and remote areas can access the opportunity to pursue a career in engineering, as Mick did.
