Eligibility
You're eligible to apply if you:
- are enrolled, or intend to be enrolled, in an approved program within the Faculty of Science
- can demonstrate financial need.
How to apply
Complete the online application form.
You’ll need:
- your studies report or academic transcript
- a personal statement
- evidence of financial hardship such as Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc
- evidence of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status (if applicable)

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial need
- strength of personal statement
- academic capability as demonstrated by overall academic performance in either high school or tertiary study to date
- any other evidence that the selection committee may deem relevant to the your future success in their field.
Where all other considerations are equal, preference will be given to eligible students that identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons.

About this scholarship
The Joan Cribb OAM Science Scholarship was established in 2023 by Alumni Friends, to provide support to students within the Faculty of Science facing financial hardship. This scholarship is endowment that was matched by The Queensland Commitment fund.
