Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are an international student.
  • have previously undertaken a qualification in Australia which has been used for admission to your relevant UQ program.
  • have achieved a competitive score as determined by the University among the pool of offer holders for programs in their commencement semester.

And you:

  • have applied to study full-time at UQ commencing in 2026 in an eligible program. Check the scholarship terms and conditions (PDF, 170 KB)
  • have received an unconditional offer in an eligible program (or have satisfied all the conditions of a conditional offer)
  • have satisfied the program entry and English language proficiency requirements.

And you have not received:

  • received another scholarship, tuition fee reduction or rebate from UQ. 
  • a full scholarship or sponsorship from another organisation (applicants with partial scholarships or sponsorships may be considered).

How to apply

You don't need to submit an application for this scholarship.

When you apply to study a program at UQ, you're automatically considered for this scholarship if you meet the eligibility criteria. 

What happens next

We will send you an email if you're offered this scholarship and let you know what date you have to accept the scholarship.

​​​​The Scholarship is a tuition fee reduction of A$10,000 for international students who have completed their most recent qualification in Australia.

If you're awarded the scholarship, the A$10,000 tuition fee reduction will be split into 2 x A$5,000 amounts and applied across the first 2 semesters of the program.
