The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and reward the study of applied economics and econometrics at The University of Queensland.

$10,000
The value of the scholarship will be determined each year by the Head, but will not be less than $10,000.

  • Eligibility

    To be considered, the applicant:

    • intends to enrol full-time in the Approved Program (Bachelor of Economics (Honours)) and Relevant Field (econometrics field of study); and
    • has completed the Bachelor of Economics from UQ with a major in Economics and Public Policy or Quantitative Methods; and
    • has obtained an overall GPA of at least 6.25 in the Specified Courses in the Bachelor of Economics; and
    • does not hold another scholarship that the Head deems similar.

     

Founded in 2018 by a gift from Dr Vince FitzGerald AO, the FitzGerald Scholarship is maintained by an endowment fund which is open to further gifts.
