This scholarship was founded in 1941 by the gift of $5000 from Mr. Edwin Munro.

The purpose of the scholarship is to support high-achieving students undertaking the first year of study in a postgraduate science program following completion of the undergraduate agricultural science program.


An applicant is eligible for the award of a scholarship in a year if, in that year, the applicant:

  • Has previously completed an undergraduate Agricultural Science program; and
  • Is enrolled in the first year of a postgraduate program administered by the Faculty of Science.

Please ensure you've read the prompts in the application form and attach all relevant supporting documents before submitting your application. No late or incomplete scholarship applications will be considered.

All submissions will be kept confidential and only used to assess the scholarship. 

Selection criteria

The scholarship is awarded to the student who achieves the highest overall marks in the undergraduate Agricultural Science program with honours.
