Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine
- can demonstrate financial hardship
- do not hold another scholarship the Dean considers similar.
How to apply
Complete the online application form in Student Hub (student login required).
You'll need to provide a personal statement (of no more than 250 words) outlining:
- your background and circumstances
- your financial needÂ
- your attempts to mitigate or overcome your difficulties.
Use our tips for putting together a great application to help you through this process.
Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial need
- strength of your personal statement demonstrating how the scholarship will assist your completion of the Doctor of Medicine
- any other matter the selection committee considers relevant to your future success in your study.

Established in 2023 by Susan Crittenden under the Queensland Commitment match initiative. Susan feels passionate about creating opportunities for students to become doctors to ensure the sustainability for the future medical workforce and healthcare system.
