Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are an international student from the P.R. China; and
  • are enrolled in an approved program (see list below); and
  • have completed at least 12 units of your approved program.

Approved Program:

  • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Engineering/ Master of Engineering or an Engineering dual program
  • Bachelor of Information Technology
  • Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours) or an Information Technology dual program
  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours) or a Computer Science dual program.

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

  • your academic achievements in the courses undertaken to date; and
  • personal qualities, leadership potential, as evidenced by a cover letter, resume and short essay within the application; and
  • any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your application.

About this scholarship

In honour of the Chin family and the opportunities Jack Chin has had in China and Australia that led to his successful career, this endowed annual prize has been established to support and provide opportunities for Chinese International students studying in the areas of engineering, computing and IT at The University of Queensland.
