Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are enrolled full-time in the Doctor of Medicine
  • are in your third or fourth year.

How to apply

Apply using the application form in Student Hub (student login required).

You'll need to submit an essay on the topic of Doctors' Mental Health (3000 to 5000 words).

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

  • evidence of appropriate background reading
  • the clarity of your thoughts and observations
  • originality
  • personal reflection.

If clinical material is included, written consent must be obtained from the patient and the patient must be de-identified in the essay.

About this scholarship

This prize was established in 2017 in memory of Dr Catherine Thorp-Cramb, a graduate of The University of Queensland.

The prize was funded by gifts from family, friends and colleagues of Catherine, and is intended to increase community awareness in the area of doctors’ mental health.
