Eligibility
You’re eligible if you:
- are of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent, identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person, and are accepted as such by your community
- are a domestic student
- are enrolled or intend to enrol in a postgraduate coursework program in Business School
- don't hold another scholarship that the Head of School considers to be similar.
How to apply
Complete the online application form.
You’ll need:
- evidence of your Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander status
- proof of previous work experience or voluntary work (e.g. CV/resume, employment statements or reference letters)
- any other documents relevant to your application such as certificates or awards.
You’ll also need:
- a personal statement in video format of no more than 5 minutes answering the following:
- your motivations for choosing to study a master’s degree at the UQ Business School
- your career aspirations
- how you overcame a professional or personal obstacle
- what you have done to make your community or work environment a better place
- any additional information you want the scholarship panel to take into consideration (e.g. caring responsibilities, financial hardship, volunteering or other similar non-paid work experiences or start-up roles)
- your CV and 2 written references (personal or professional).

Selection criteria
We’ll consider:
- evidence of academic merit
- paid and/or volunteer work experience
- community involvement
- personal statement responses.
What happens next
The selection committee will meet soon after the closing date and notify you of the outcome in writing.
About this scholarship
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support Indigenous domestic postgraduate coursework students of the Business School by making a contribution towards living costs.
