Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- are a domestic student
- can demonstrate financial hardship
- are enrolled full-time in a Bachelor of Commerce (including duals)
- have completed a minimum of 16 units towards your program.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal.
You'll need:
- a personal statement, of no more than 1000 words, addressing:
- the impact this scholarship will have on you personally and professionally
- your future career aspirations
- details of any leadership and/or community service experience relevant to your application.
And:
- documents that demonstrate your personal qualities and academic potential, such as certificates or achievement and academic references
- evidence of your financial hardship including proof of finances (if relevant) e.g. Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income etc.

Save your file using the naming format: Lastname-Firstname-Document type (e.g. SmithSam-supporting-evidence.zip).

About this scholarship
Established in 2014 from the generous gifts of BJ Freeman (Bachelor of Science ’81, Bachelor of Commerce ’85), this award is a financial need-based scholarship to support students studying Commerce within the Faculty of Business, Economics and Law (BEL).
