Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- have a minimum GPA of 5.8 (or equivalent);
- are enrolled full time and have completed at least 12 units but less than 27 units in the following programs:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- an engineering integrated program
- Bachelor of Science
- a dual program including either of these programs
- do not hold another scholarship that the Director considers to be similar

You'll need to prepare:
- a cover letter
- your resume
- responses to 2 provided questions
- a copy of your reports from Year 11, Semester 2 and Year 12, Semester 1 or, if you are a current student, your most recent studies report, and
- a 1-minute video in response to a provided question.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- academic achievement in courses undertaken in an approved program; and
- strength of interest demonstrated in your field
- evidence of personal qualities including:
- leadership potential, community service and/or engagement
- alignment with the graduate attributes of the Liveris Academy
- demonstrated commitment to academic excellence
- demonstrated capacity and willingness to actively participate in, and positively contribute to, co-curricular activities at UQ
- demonstrated strength of interest in undertaking co-curricular developmental activities through the Liveris Academy
- any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant to your future success at UQ and in your subsequent career.
What happens next

About this scholarship
The Alumina Industry Scholarship was established in 2020 under the Create Change Scholarship Match and Dow Chemical Challenge and is maintained by a gift from AQW Inc to encourage and support outstanding students in an Approved Program at UQ, through financial support and Membership with the Liveris Academy.
AQW may also offer:
- an engineering mentor
- member organisation site visits
- vacation employment at any AQW site.
