Eligibility
You're eligible if you:
- can demonstrate financial hardship;
- are of Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
- are enrolled in:
- the Doctor of Medicine
- the Bachelor of Nursing
- the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery; or
- the Master of Nursing Studies.

You only need to submit ONE application to be considered for ALL scholarships in the Aspire Scholarship scheme, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarship scheme and the UQ Residential Scholarship scheme.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status
- academic achievements
- community service and/or leadership achievements.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship;
- strength of your personal statement included in your application, outlining how the scholarship will assist you with completion of your program;
- academic achievement, and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
