Eligibility
You're eligible if:
- you can demonstrate financial hardship;
- you are an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person;
- you are enrolled or intend to enrol in one of the following programs:
- Bachelor of Computer Science
- Bachelor of Computer Science (Honours)
- Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)
- an engineering integrated program
- Bachelor of Information Technology
- Bachelor of Information Technology (Honours)
- duel programs in any one of these programs.
- you do not hold a scholarship that the DVC(IE) considers to be similar.
How to apply
Apply using the online application portal.
You may need to upload supporting documentation that shows your:
- financial circumstances (Centrelink statements, ATO statements, family income, etc.)
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander status;
- academic achievement;
- community service and/or leadership achievements.
You only need to complete one form to be considered for all scholarships under the UQ-ICS and the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Scholarships.

Selection criteria
We'll consider:
- demonstrated financial hardship;
- personal qualities, including leadership potential;
- academic ability; and
- any other matter considered relevant to your future academic success.
Where all other considerations are equal, preference will be given to the applicant who demonstrates the greatest academic achievement.
