Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • can demonstrate your academic achievement
  • are enrolled full-time in a program at The University of Queensland where a you could undertake research into the history of labour, the labour movement, or the Labor Party, in Australia.

Selection criteria

We'll consider:

  • your academic capability and future academic potential
  • your level of interest in researching the history of labour, the labour movement, or the Labor Party, in Australia
  • any other evidence which may be deemed relevant to your future success in your field of study.

About this scholarship

Established in 1990 in memory of the late Denis Joseph Murphy, a past Reader in History at The University of Queensland and maintained by the income from a fund established by the donations of friends and colleagues.
