    Eligibility

    You're eligible if you:

    • are enrolled full-time in an approved program (see list below)
    • have completed at least 14 units but no more than 34 in an approved program
    • do not hold another scholarship that the Associate Dean Engineering or Associate Dean Science considers to be similar.

    Approved Program:

    • Bachelor of Information Technology or associated dual program
    • Bachelor of Computer Science or associated dual program
    • Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours)/ Master in Engineering or associated dual program in:
      • Mechatronic Engineering; or
      • Software Engineering.
    • Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Advanced Science (Honours) or associated dual programs with a major in Computer Science or Mathematics
    • Bachelor of Mathematics or associated dual programs.

    Selection criteria

    We'll consider:

    • demonstrated financial hardship
    • personal and leadership qualities
    • potential to succeed in the engineering, computer and/or science profession
    • any other matter that the selection committee considers to be relevant.

    Preference may be given to applicants who:

    • participated in Leaders@EAIT
    • are past recipients of a Rio Tinto Scholarship
    • are past participants in a Rio Tinto Internship.
