  • Eligibility

    The scholarships are open to students who -

    • Scholarships awarded for Semester 1 of the following year will be based on the results of your current program (GPA and number of units completed) at the time of application. Your GPA will be calculated on the day results are released for Semester 1. These results are the next available results after the application deadline. The number of units completed will be based on how many units you have completed when results are released for Semester 1.
       
    • Scholarships awarded for Semester 2 of the following year will be based on the results of your current program (GPA and number of units completed) at the time of application. Your GPA will be calculated on the day results are released for Semester Two. These results are the next available results after the application deadline. The number of units completed will be based on how many units you have completed when results are released for Semester 2.
       
    • Your cumulative program GPA is calculated from the grades in all courses undertaken in your current program plus the grades in other UQ courses that have been credited towards your current program.
       
    • Students applying for a second or third exchange, who have not previously received a Student Exchange Scholarship or UQ Abroad Travel Grant, are eligible to be considered for funding.
       
    • Students going on consecutive exchanges (to two different host institutions) or going on exchange to the same institution for two semesters will only be considered for a scholarship in their first semester of exchange.
Established in 2005 to replace the University of Queensland Student Exchange Bursaries and the University of Queensland UMAP Bursaries, both established in 1993.
