The Top Up Assistance Program is available to support foreign government sponsored research candidates whose living allowance falls below the current APA rate.

Award value:
Top up award to supplement to a combined total of $26,288 per annum (2016 rate)
  • Eligibility

    To be eligible you must:

    • Be an international student on a student visa (subclass 574 for postgraduate research) studying full-time and onshore in Australia.
    • Be sponsored by a recognised foreign government scholarship scheme providing tuition fees, and a living allowance at a minimum of $15,000 per annum.
    • Not hold a qualification at the same or a higher level than the research higher degree program you are undertaking.
    • Not be receiving additional funding to undertake the RHD, such as additional scholarships, top ups, awards, or salaries.
