The purpose of the award is to provide assistance to a meritorious, rural and/or remote student or an international student studying the Bachelor of Nursing, Bachelor of Midwifery or the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery Dual Degree program. Their relocation to study in these programs has the potential to impact on their studies. The funds are intended to assist with the cost of equipment, materials and other study-related items as may be required by the recipient. The award is granted annually on the recommendation of the Head of the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Social Work.


The award is open to students who are:

1. Enrolled full-time in the

  • Bachelor of Nursing,
  • Bachelor of Midwifery,
  • the Bachelor of Nursing/Bachelor of Midwifery; and

2. Have completed at least 16 units towards the program; and

3. Are recognised as an international student, or has relocated from a rural or remote region to undertake their studies.
