Description

Starting 2020, RWTH Aachen University will offer travel grants and scholarships in order to support research stays of doctoral candidates and postdocs from strategically relevant international universities or research institutions. The goal of the Advanced Research Opportunities Program (AROP) is to develop and/or strengthen bilateral relations with international partner institutions. AROP offers travel grants and scholarships, as well as the opportunity to participate in German-language courses and intercultural trainings at RWTH.

Moreover, RWTH's Welcome Center for International Researchers will offer advice to scholarship recipients whilst preparing for and throughout the stay in Aachen and support applicants with all questions, academic and otherwise, about their stay.

Eligibility

Doctoral candidates and postdocs of strategically relevant international universities and research institutions, which are either partners of RWTH or plan on initiating a partnership with the University.
