Eligibility

You're eligible if you:

  • are enrolled full-time in an eligible program offered by the Schools of Business or Economics
  • are in the final year of your honours program
  • do not hold another scholarship deemed to be similar
  • submit your application, including a research article proposal, by the closing date.

Eligible programs include:

Honours year programs for:

  • Bachelor of Commerce (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Business Management (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Economics (Honours)

or the final year of:

  • Bachelor of Advanced Business (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Advanced Finance and Economics (Honours)
  • Bachelor of Politics, Philosophy and Economics (Honours).

You will be asked to submit a proposal for a collaborative research article.

Selection criteria

A scholarship will be awarded to one applicant from UQ Business School and one applicant from the School of Economics. The successful applicant in each School will be the one who has shown the greatest merit as demonstrated by:

  • academic achievements in the first semester of honours (and prior undergraduate studies)
  • the quality of their proposal for the collaborative article
  • other evidence as deemed relevant.

What happens next

The Director of the Australian Institute for Business and Economics will review the article submissions along with the selection criteria. Applicants will be notified of the outcome. 

About this scholarship

This scholarship encourages collaboration and teamwork between high-performing Honours students from the UQ Business School and School of Economics at The University of Queensland.
