The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support students who are undertaking study in the Bachelor of Health, Sport and Physical Education (Honours) program.

  • Eligibility

    An applicant is eligible for the scholarship, if the applicant -

    • submits an application to the School of Human Movement and Nutrition Sciences, by the closing date for applications; and
    • is a domestic student in accordance with The University’s Fee Policy; and
    • will be enrolled full-time in the first year of the program; and
    • can provide documentary evidence of financial disadvantage; and
    • does not hold another scholarship that the Head considers to be similar.
The scholarship was established in 2015 and is maintained by an annual gift from UQ alumna and staff member Professor Doune Macdonald (BHMS 1981) and her husband Steven Leitch.
