The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage and support a meritorious student in the 2nd year of their software engineering studies towards the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering or Bachelor of Information Technology (or dual program) at The University of Queensland.

  • Eligibility

    An applicant is eligible for the scholarship, if the applicant -

    • is a domestic student within the meaning of the Fee Rules (are an Australian citizen or New Zealand Citizen or holder of a permanent visa for Australia); and
    • is enrolled full-time in the 2nd year of either the:

    (i)   the Bachelor of Information Technology (or related dual program); or
    (ii)  the Bachelor of Enginneering (Honours) or Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering program (or related dual degree programs) in the field of software engineering or electrical and computer engineering; or

    • has achieved a GPA greater than 5 during the first 2 semesters of the Approved Program; and
    • does not hold another scholarship considered to be similar.
