The Fund can provide grants for nominated youth up to 24 years of age to support, promote and encourage their artistic, educational or sporting potential. Students may re-apply each year up to 24 years of age.

  • Eligibility

    All eligible students parents must reside in the Far North Queensland region which is from Cardwell north to Thursday Island and west as far as Normanton.

    Applicants must be under 24 years of age.

The Fund was established in 1972 to assist disadvantaged Far North Queensland children and youth in their education, sporting and cultural activities. The Fund, since its inauguration, has assisted thousands of our local youth achieve higher education, represent their region and state in sport and advance their cultural ambitions, where their financial situation would not have allowed them to do so.
