The AAA Veterans' Fund will provide support of up to US $40,000 to honorably discharged post-9/11 Australian military veterans, undertaking or planning to undertake full-time Undergraduate or Graduate level study at an accredited educational institution in the US for a minimum of one year.

Undergraduate Scholarships: Will support Undergraduate level study in any disciplinary field

Graduate Scholarships: Will support Graduate level study in any disciplinary field

AAA - Sentinels of Freedom Scholarship: Will support a disabled Australian Veteran who has been wounded or injured in a post-9/11 service related event at Graduate level or above in any disciplinary field

AAA - Incitec Pivot Ltd Scholarship and Internship: Will support one Australian Veteran in the field of mining engineering, chemical engineering, business management (operations) or leadership.  On successful completion of study, an internship with Dyno Nobel may be offered in Australia or the US.

Indigenous Scholarships: Will support Indigenous Australian or Torres Strait Islander Veterans in any disciplinary field.



To be eligible for an Australia to USA Veteran Scholarship you must be:

  1. Australian citizen or permanent resident;
    1. Dual US citizens/permanent residents are not eligible
  2. honorably discharged post 9/11 US military veteran;
  3. must be planning to undertake a minimum of one-year full time study at an American university

Applicants do not have to be accepted into an accredited educational institution at the time of application, though should be actively looking for placement.  Successful applicants will have up to two years to find a placement at an institution and begin their studies.
